On the first visit

Questions every factory owner asks.

Most shop floors run on registers, spreadsheets and phone calls. The work gets done, but the owner only sees it at the end of the month.

A stores worker updating a paper register beside stacked yarn cones
01 “Where is that material?” It’s somewhere in the stores, but nobody can say which rack. Orders wait while people search.
02 “What’s the status of this order?” Getting an answer takes three phone calls and a walk down to the floor.
03 “How much is with the job worker?” Material goes out to outside units on a challan and comes back short, late, or both.
04 “Why did this job lose money?” The quoted price and the actual cost are never compared, so the price variance stays hidden.
05 “Who still owes us?” Payments, deductions and follow-ups are tracked across Excel sheets and WhatsApp chats.
06 “Which number is right?” The register says one thing and the system another, because everything gets typed twice.
What we build
